SUMMARY: The Department of Public Works is updating the community on the status of a collapsed sewer line along Veteran's Drive. The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority will begin work on April 7, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly. During work hours, traffic will be reduced to a single-lane heading East and a single-lane heading West. Work is expected to be completed by April 21. This closure will allow the contractor to replace the old cast iron sewer pipe with new PVC, replace the collapsed sewer manhole, and complete road surface restoration. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to traverse this area with caution. The Department of Public Works appreciates the community's patience as they work to improve road conditions throughout the territory.
