Such a small island and What a shame that public work can’t have this things clean all year round and have roads in better conditions and the Government never have money to clean or fix things in the Island everyone in the government in higher positions within the government, the only thing they do is just steal the money for the people of the island 

Great to see this work in progress .. great timing in time for the heavy rains

Drains should be clean/cleared on a regular, not only after it rains and roads get flooded.

Oh they finally doing some work ..great🙄

In line with the administrative leave granted by the Governor, the Department of Public Works will close its offices via the following schedule:

Wednesday, May 1: St. Thomas/St. John closed at 1 p.m.
Thursday, May 2: St. Thomas/St. John closed.
Friday, May 3: Territory-wide offices closed.

DPW will re-open on Monday, May 6, 2024.

DPW construction crews built and painted the reviewing stand in the Post Office Square for the upcoming St. Thomas Carnival parades.

VITRAN St. Thomas is offering extended Paratransit/ADA Services this week to allow passengers to attend the St. Thomas Carnival Village. At the request of the Office of the Governor’s ADA Coordinator, starting Tuesday, April 30, and continuing through Friday, May 3, services will be available until 8 pm.

The pickup and drop-off location will be at the bus stop across from the U.S.V.I Legislature Building. All passengers must be at the pickup point by 8 p.m.

Passengers using Paratransit/ADA Services must be certified by VITRAN. Contact VITRAN at (340) 774-5678 in advance to schedule your reservations.

St Thomas has vitran every day but st Croix don't have vitran every day even the 3 vitran on till 8

The Department of Public Works (DPW) is advising the community of a road closure on the Melvin Evans Highway scheduled for next week. The closure, which will take place from Monday, April 29, 2024 to Thursday, May 2, 2024 between 9 and 11 a.m., will allow the department to complete maintenance along the highway and median. The clearing/maintenance schedule is as follows:

Monday, April 29 to Tuesday April 30, 2024 -- Sunny Isle Intersection to Clifton Hill Intersection.
Wednesday, May 1 to Thursday, May 2, 2024 -- Clifton Hill Intersection to East Airport Road.

Both lanes in the respective area of the highway will be closed while work is in progress. Flaggers will be on-site to aid motorists as they traverse through the area. Motorists are asked to used alternate routes while work is in progress. The Department of Public Works appreciates the community's patience as they work to improve road conditions throughout the territory.
