Featured Projects

The Department of Public Works completed road repairs on Mandahl Road (Route 42) in Estate Mandahl. The project included drainage improvements, striping, paving, guardrails, and the installation of a retaining wall. The road has not only been repaved, but mitigation measures have been included to reduce stormwater damage in the future.
The Department of Public Works has completed the first two phases of road repairs in the Estate St. George’s neighborhood on St. Croix. The work included road reclamation, drainage improvements, reconditioning, 3 inches of asphalt paving, and roadway striping. This project was part of several that utilized local funds to address neglected neighborhood roads that are not part of the federal highway system.
The Department of Public Works has been working on the Emergency Relief Project at Route 104 in St. John. The contractor - Island Roads Corporation – is reconstructing the concrete roadway and drainage.
