The Department of Public Works (DPW) reminds the public of the upcoming road closure on Spring Gut Road in St. Croix to facilitate temporary repairs to the Spring Gut Bridge.

Beginning tomorrow, Saturday, April 25, 2026, DPW contractor – Marco St. Croix, Inc. – will begin repairs to the bridge and approaching roadway. Work will continue through Thursday, April 30, 2026. During this time, the bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

Motorists needing access to Tulipan Mount Welcome south of the bridge should use designated detour routes via Catherine’s Rest Road (Route 83) and Bugby Hole Road (Route 622). Detour signage will be posted throughout the Bugby Hole subdivision to guide motorist via Bay Point, Haven Court, Diamond View, and Summit Crest Roads. See map for details.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) advises the public of an upcoming road closure on Spring Gut Road in St. Croix to facilitate temporary repairs to the Spring Gut Bridge.

KEY FACTS: As work continues on the Downtown Charlotte Amalie Drainage Project, the Department of Public Works (DPW) advises the community of a scheduled road closure along segments of Kronprindsens Gade.

Beginning tonight, Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 7:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., DPW contractor – Island Roads Corp. – will close a portion of Kronprindsens Gade adjacent to the Department of Labor in St. Thomas in order to repave damaged areas.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes during the scheduled work hours.

Melvin Evans Highway
ISLAND: St. Croix
KEY FACTS: The Department of Public Works (DPW) advises the community of an upcoming road closure on Melvin Evans Highway, from East Airport Road to the Diageo intersection, to allow crews to complete necessary road repairs in the area. The closure will take place tomorrow, April 22, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) is pleased to announce that road repairs along Nicholas Friday Memorial Drive in St. Thomas, USVI, are nearing completion.

Tomorrow, Thursday, April 16, 2026, DPW contractor – Grace Civil, LLC, – will mobilize and commence road repairs along a segment of Valdemar A. Hill Sr. Drive (Skyline Drive), in the vicinity of Beacon Point. Road work will begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue until completion.

Motorists should expect delays and are urged to utilize alternate routes. Flaggers and signage will be in place to guide traffic safely through the area.
