Melvin Evans Highway, St. Croix

The Melvin Evans Highway (MEH) Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Phase 2 project is progressing. DPW contractor – V.I. Paving, Inc – has completed 50% of the work, including the installation of streetlights. They are currently replacing the concrete swales, which facilitate drainage along the roadway. Once completed, VIP will then lay the final layer of asphalt on both the eastbound and westbound lanes from the Williams Delight intersection to the Good Hope intersection. Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to proceed with caution when traversing this area.
