DPW CONTINUED ITS THANKSGIVING DONATION TRADITION

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – The Department of Public Works is proud to serve its community in more ways than just road repairs. This year, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, DPW offices collected non-perishable food items to donate to non-profit organizations territory-wide.

On St. Croix and St. John, DPW staff donated items to Catholic Charities, and on St. Thomas donations were sent to the Family Resource Center.

While the Department was in the giving spirit, it also received a gift. St. Thomas Administrator Avery Lewis coordinated an effort with Southland Gaming Chief Operating Officer Shaine Gaspard and Director of Public Relations Jason Charles to donate 120 turkeys to DPW employees on St. Thomas, as a thank-you for all the work completed throughout the year.
