The Department of Public Works has several road paving projects scheduled over the next few weeks in the St. Thomas/John District. The motoring public should proceed with caution throughout the areas listed below and be aware of temporary lane closures.
Estate Hope
ISLAND: St. Thomas
FUNDING: Act 8454
CONTRACTOR: Island Roads Inc.
KEY FACTS: The contractor has completed milling, paving and drainage improvements. Next they will proceed with the construction of a drainage headwall, then striping.
PROJECT COST: $600,000.00
Centerline Road
ISLAND: St. John
KEY FACTS: The Department of Public Works (DPW) is advising the community of roadwork set to begin today, March 28, 2022, on Centerline Road, St. John. DPW Contractor — Island Roads Inc. — has mobilized on site and began the milling process. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to traverse this area with caution and follow the directive of onsite flaggers. Lane closures are expected. DPW will continue to keep the community updated as this project progresses.
